Candyland Birthday Party

My My neice Aubrie had the cutest idea for a party: Candyland! Of course I knew I could make the cutest candy table for her!

I made the tableskirt with just elastic and plenty of tulle. No sewing!

My mother in law made the beautiful cake:

I used gum drops as the label holders:

I pinned the skirt to a tablecloth with little pins. So happy with how it came out!

Carnival Birthday Party

My nephew turned 5 in June and his momma did the cutest carnival party for him. She made all the fun carnival games: photo booth, tattoo station, bowling, ring toss, etc.

There was also potato sack races and a giant water balloon fight. She also rented a hot dog stand, cotton candy machine, and a popcorn stand!
I made the carnival candy buffet:
I borrowed the canopy from my classroom's cozy corner!

My mother in law made this adorable cake:
My sis in law also gave fish as a prize!

If your interested in the cards I made for the candy table, leave a comment with your email and I'd be happy to send them to you!

Cat in the Hat Treat

Super easy Cat in the Hat Cookies
To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday in my classroom I made these yummy treats.

Ingredients:
-Oreos
-marshmallows
-red sugar

Take off one side of Oreo and remove leaving the side with the frosting for the hat. Dip both ends of marshmallow in water and then dip the moisten part in the red sugar. Stick on Oreo half with the frosting (I added a little extra frosting to make sure marshmallow was secure).

Ready to enjoy! Yum!

Father gift idea

I love one of the gifts I got for my dad for christmas this year.

I found this beautiful frame on Etsy with the lyrics of the song we danced to for our father-daughter dance at my wedding around it. It's such a special song as it was "our song" when I was a kiddo.

Love it and I think he does to! Love Etsy!
